About the event

For over 35 years, American Songwriter has provided the opportunity for aspiring artists to be seen and heard.

The 2022 Song Contest is open now and is looking for great songs in any genre of music, from anywhere in the world.

Entering your music provides the opportunity to get your songs heard by number one artists and music industry executives. Judges include Rob Thomas, Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless), Kara DioGuardi, Ross Golan, Silversun Pickups, Nicolle Galyon, Maggie Rose, and more artists, plus influential major label A&R industry executives from Universal, Warner, Atlantic, and more.

The goal is to get you more recognition for your music and to have your songs heard by the exact kind of people who can make a difference in your music career. The cost of entry is $25 per song submission. There is no limit to the number of songs you can enter.

Prizes include $10,000 in cash, global music promotion, lifetime membership to American Songwriter, promotion across all of American Songwriters publications, and more.
