Afro-Peruvian rhythms with dashes of flamenco, Guaguancó (Cuban rumba), Argentinian zamba and Peruvian waltz are organically and naturally interweaved with Latin swing and boleros, whose common denominator is the exquisite, sophisticated percussion of cajón and congas, together with bass and Spanish guitars, in true musical explosion.

Daniel Puente Encina, Chilean singer-songwriter and guitarist published his third album, Sangre y Sal (Blood and Salt) on 14th of June 2019. This new collection finds its inspiration in the mark left by Africa on the criolla music of Peru, Argentina and, naturally, his home country, Chile.

The result is an astonishing range of sounds: Afro-Peruvian rhythms with dashes of flamenco, Guaguancó (Cuban Rumba), Argentinian Zamba and Peruvian Waltz are organically and naturally interweaved with Latin Swing and boleros. In addition to the newly-penned tracks on this upcoming album, Daniel will be playing classics from earlier albums and bands.

Avant-garde and tradition come together in the creations of this artist who has, since the 90s, become a international cult icon amongst cognoscenti and fans alike.
Born in Santiago de Chile he took his place in musical history by creating a wide variety of musical projects with very different styles as anti-fascist band ”Pinochet Boys” from Santiago de Chile (1984-1987), “Niños Con Bombas” from Hamburg (1994-1999) and “Polvorosa” from Barcelona (2000-2011). Many of his songs can be heard on the soundtracks of Fatih Akin movies such as Short Sharp Shock, In July and the multi-award-winning Head-On.

Daniel has been producing and performing music under his own name since the beginning of 2012. Since January 2018 he belongs to the official Artist Roster of Godin Guitars Germany.

Daniel Puente Encinas mitreissende Musik ist vielen aus Kinofilmen wie Fatih Akins Roadmovie "Im Juli" oder seinem mehrfach ausgezeich­neten, international bekannten Kino-Erfolg „Gegen die Wand“ bekannt.
Am 14. Juni 2019 hat er sein drittens Soloalbum “Sangre y Sal”, inspiriert vom Einfluss Afrikas auf die "Música Criolla” Perus, Argentiniens und natürlich Chiles, seinem Heimatland, veröffentlicht. Das Resultat ist ein ganz eigener, unverwechselbarer Sound: Latin Grooves und afroperuanische Rhythmen gefärbt mit Flamenco-Nuancen, Guaguancó (kubanische Rumba), Zamba Argentina und peruanischer Valsa treffen auf Latin Swing und Boleros.
Avantgarde und Tradition verschmelzen im Universum dieses ungebändigten Künstlers, der mit seinen unterschiedlichen Projekten seit Ende der 90er internationalen Kultstatus unter Kennern und Fans genießt. Seit 2012 produziert Daniel Puente Encina unter ei­ge­nem Namen. Auf sein minima­li­sti­sches Karibik-Blues-Album "Dis­pa­ro" (Schuss) folgte sein orche­stra­ler kos­mopolitischer Genre-Mix "Chocolate Con Ají" (Schoko­la­de mit Chili).
Auf seiner Tour wird Puente Encina neben seinen neuen Songs auch Klassiker seiner genannten Alben sowie früherer Projekte zum Be­sten geben.
