Wer die erste Platte der Landsberger kennt, wird merken, dass diese Jungs sich keineswegs auf irgendwelchen Lorbeeren ausgeruht oder sich vor Weiterentwicklung gescheut haben.
Als sich die Band 2009 gründete, war sofort klar in welche Richtung es gehen sollte. Nämlich Thrash Metal á la EXODUS, HEATHEN oder FORBIDDEN. Nach den ersten 3 Jahren hatten sich dann auch schon genügend eigene Songs angesammelt um das erste Album DECADES OF PAIN aufzunehmen, welches Anfang 2014 das Licht der Welt erblickte. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren Toxic Waltz allerdings schon längst kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr, da sie bis dahin die Bühne mit Größen wie SIX FEET UNDER, DEBAUCHERY oder ALPHA TIGER teilten.
In den Jahren 2014 und 2015 konnte diese Liste durch unzählige Konzerte im deutschsprachigen Raum u.a. mit NUCLEAR ASSAULT und SOULFLY und einer Osteuropa-Tour mit SUICIADAL ANGELS, DR. LIVING DEAD und ANGELUS APATRIDA ausgeweitet werden.
In dieser Zeit wurde natürlich auch an neuen Songs gebastelt, welche nun 2016 auf Ihrem zweiten Langspieler erscheinen werden. Die viele Live-Erfahrung, die diese junge Band sich bereits erspielt hat, spiegelt sich auchgenau dort wieder, denn die 10 Tracks klingen noch reifer und durchdachter als schon auf dem ersten Silberling. Während bei diesem noch hauptsächlich die Bay Area-Größen Pate standen, kann man bei FROM A DISTANT VIEW auch modernere Einflüsse wie z. B. TRIVIUM ausmachen.
Toxic Waltz beweisen 2016 einmal mehr, dass Sie keine Eintagsfliege sind, sondern ein Quintett aus leidenschaftlichen Musikern, deren Energie und Spielfreude kein Abbruch nimmt und THRASH METAL nicht spielen, weil es gerade angesagt ist, sondern weil genau diese Musik in Ihren Adern fließt.

With their second Album FROM A DISTANT VIEW, which will be released by VIOLENT CREEK RECORDS in March 2016, the five individualists of Toxic Waltz are going to notch up their performance. If you already know the first record of these Germans, you will recognize that they neither rested on any laurels nor have been afraid of development.
When founded in 2009, the musical direction of the band was already clear. Thrash Metal á la EXODUS, HEATHEN or FORBIDDEN is the order of the day. After the first 3 years they even had already collected enough own songs to record their first Album DECADES OF PAIN, which has been released at the beginning of 2014. At this point of time, Toxic Waltz haven’t been a blank page anymore indeed. They already shared the Stage with Greats like SIX FEET UNDER, DEBAUCHERY or ALPHA TIGER.
During the years 2014 and 2015 they could even increase this list by playing countless concerts in the German-speaking-Area with bands like NUCLEAR ASSAULT and SOULFLY a. o. and a Tour through Eastern Europe with SUICIDAL ANGELS, DR. LIVING DEAD and ANGELUS APATRIDA.
In between of all the touring and playing concerts, they of course didn’t lag of writing new songs, which are now going to appear on their new Longplayer in 2016. And there it is, where the much Live-playing-experience of this young band is mirrored in. The 10 songs sound even more mature and elaborated than the songs on the first disk already did. While that was still much influenced by the Bay-Area-Kings, FROM A DISTANT VIEW has got also some more modern role models like TRIVIUM for example.
Toxic Waltz will prove 2016 once more, that they’re not just a fly-by-night, but a quintet of passionate musicians, which energy and joy of playing won’t stop and they don’t play the THRASH METAL because of any hipness, but because of it’s exactly the kind of music floating through their veins.
