SHORT BIO
The composer and sax player Timo Lassy have released 4 solo albums.
Having performed at jazz clubs, concert halls and rock venues, Lassy is known to bridge the gap between genres and audiences with his no-nonsense ”cooking sessions” of hard-swinging jazz.
HIGHLIGHTS
Lassy was noted as a "Rising Star" in the jazz bible Downbeat. Timo Lassy Band was dubbed "one of Europe's sharpest bands" by Sunday Times. Recently the band performed a sold-out headline show (cap 1,500) at the Helsinki Festival, and appeared at Sesc Sao Paolo, Elbjazz Hamburg, Blue Note Milan, Flow Festival, Boiler Room, North Sea Jazz Club Amsterdam, Swingin’ Groeningen.
