The band recorded their first single "feels like home" in 2014 which they released in the form of a music video shortly after. After the success of the single on Facebook Youtube and Twitter the band have gone on to have an epic year in 2014 and despite not officially releasing the single "Feels like home" reached number 23 as pick of the week in the Dutch Indie music charts. The Voluntears played gigs at some of the regions top music venues such as Newcastle university and the O2 academy. The band landed support slots with up and coming bands such as The Spitfires and pop rockers The Natives aswell as more established bands like The Rifles.
The Voluntears also had some festival success at Hardwick live, sharing the stage with The Jacksons, Scouting for Girls, Adam Ant, Hugh Cornwell (The Stranglers), Dodgy, Simple Minds and The Sherlocks just to name a few. They headlined a private gig at at a North East Premier Hotel to a sell out crowd and finished their year on familiar turf on main stage at Newcastle's O2 academy as part of the line up to raise money for teenage cancer trust. 2015 is already shaping up to become their biggest year yet as the boys head into the studio to record their upcoming album and are already taking some exciting gig bookings for the year ahead.
