Taking a creative timeout from primary band Morso, in January 2016 Stanislav Grdakovic and Darko Terlevic needed some time to reflect on their former musical work and decided to take a trip to the ‘Land Down Under’.
Exploration of that vast and distant country gave them completely different insight into the music they were listening and playing so far, provoking them to start drafting the shapes of inspiration emerged throughout every step of the journey.
Once back in Croatia, Darko and Stanislav headed straight to studio, turning a couple of Australian ‘on-the-road sketches’ into the full length songs, ending up with ten new pieces for their forthcoming album which is scheduled for release in winter 2017.
Easiest way to determine the genre in which THE SIIDS are to be considered is somewhere in the range of indie and electro pop/rock, influenced by the music of Editors, Phantogram, Twin Shadow, The Kills, EL VY, The Presets, M83, Depeche Mode and others.
Currently the band is in rehearsing for live performances.
