Their surrealist blend of camp performance art (incorporating costumes, props and miming) serves as a conscious rejection of skinny-jeaned lad-rock bands who give lacklustre and static performances.
The band are a personal favourite of Carter USM guitarist Les “Fruitbat” Carter, who has guested with them on numerable live occasions to provide backing vocals for a cover of the song ‘Rent’. In January 2014 the Seminals were personally chosen by Carter to support his punk outfit Abdoujaparov at a packed out homecoming show. Other famous supporters include Tim Westwood, who owns the test pressing of the band’s second single ‘Sucky’.
In summer 2014, The Seminal Fluids will head into the studio to record their long awaited debut album ‘Death To The Seminal Fluids’ to be released on Corporate Records. This will follow on from a guest session for The Indelicates Podcast (previous guests include members of The Monochrome Set, Gay Dad and David Devant and His Spirit Wife).
