The Heist is a breath of fresh air, since the material is new, and the trio's acoustic expression is mixed with electronics and vocals.
The Heist acts as an organic unit, with members crisscrossing have played together for
some 15 years and in just the time clearly marked on the Danish jazz scene. All three members contribute with compositions for this hybrid of a trio. The music covers a wide and various, ranging from Duke Ellington ballads to the latest developments within the rhythmic music. The Heist s' goal is to mix and combine musical expression from

Michael Heise: piano/orgel/devices !
As a bandleader he released four albums,
two of them have been awarded a prize by
the Danish Arts Foundation. Has performed
all over Denmark, Germany, Spain, North Africa
and the United States. Heise has
performed and recorded with Ritmo Caliente,
Kid Creole & the Coconuts,
Grupo Danzon, Jeff Ballard, Luther Thomas,
Eliel Lazo, Alexander Abreu,
