High octane, in your face, stomping tunes – we call it “Country With Attitude”. The year has been spent writing material and beginning to record the debut album from which the first single, Make It Rain was released in July with the follow up Sweet Georgia being released in November.
Whilst the band are keen to introduce audiences to their material they still focus on ensuring an audience has a great time. To this end, alongside their own brand of Alt Country the band play storming versions of a number of classics from the likes of Johnny Cash and Hank Williams.
The Diamondbacks sit comfortably in the Americana/Alt Country/Country genre although some of the more high brow elements in the Americana scene refer to them as Cow Punk. The band don’t mind this at all, exuding punk attitude and ethos you don’t have to scratch the surface too hard to see the influence of artists like The Clash, The Ramones or The Stooges.
