It is a serie of three films accompanied by a program of music specifically created for voice and piano by the musicians Max Villavecchia and Anna Francesch.

The titles were chosen carefully to represent the main styles of the time. Thus, thanks to the advice and guidance of Rafael Miret, they created the following list that is intended to be representative and at the same time introduce something new:

-BERLIN, SYMPHONIE einer GROßSTADT, Walter Ruttmann [German expressionist cinema]

-THE CAMERAMAN, Buster Keaton [American comic cinema]

-A MAN WITH A MOVIE CAMERA (Человек с киноаппаратом) de Dziga Vértov [Soviet avant-garde]

What we propose is also out of the famous "soundtrack creation" adding voice with piano as an instrument capable of creating leinmotifs, improvisations and spoken fragments from the film by.

It is therefore a repertoire created specifically for each film, with improvisation, composers of the time such as Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, Britten, Gershwin, Prokofiev, great Standarts of the Real Book of Roger & Hammerstein or Even current composers and musicians such as Björk or David Bowie or older as Schubert or Britten.

The fact that the two musicians have training in both classical music and jazz, improvised music makes transition between "styles" completely natural and creative while enriches the film and accompanying repertoire.

It is an innovative project regarding music to accompany silent films leaving most common repertoire (with regard to major titles) but also enjoying research and giving the audience a taste of every genre. Adding voice, song and therefore a completely new dimension to the movies creating a new show for all senses in every way.

The project has been touring around Catalonia for almost two years and has been presented with great success at the Fringe of the International Music Festival in Torroella de Montgrí, the Circle Malda and the Summer Festival in Reus among others.
