Ms. Parasol has been a working musician since 2006 with her own band as well as other artists in the USA, Germany, and Poland. Most notably her music was featured in the international Polish film, The Suicide Hall and her songwriting for the Polish pop artist, Misia fF, won her a nomination for the esteemed Fryderyki awards. Her work is often described as "Folk Rock Noir" and her poetic lyrics have garnered favorable comparisons to Nick Cave, Lou Reed, Edith Piaf, and Johnny Cash – as well as authors such as William Faulkner and Christina Rossetti. Her mode is an electric mix that combines vintage sounds of Murder Ballad, French Pop, Motown, and Brit-mod-rock with dashes of Jacques Dutronc and The Brian Jonestown Massacre for good measure!
Since 2006, Parasol has released four highly acclaimed full-length solo albums with various record labels such as Glitterhouse (DE), Interbang (DE), Warner (PL), Three Dog (NL), and Three Ring (USA). Her music collaborations have ranged from recording to performing vocals with both popular and classical musicians as well as artwork and creative direction. She has also been the lead singer and co-songwriter of the Warsaw band, Heart & Soul. Said illustrations were later exhibited at the Z Space Performing Arts Gallery and the book itself featured at Shakespeare & Co, Paris.
