Rain Diary is a Finnish darkwave band that plays urban gothic pop tunes.

The band bears characteristic sound that hails to the “golden era of Finnish dark music scene”: Charismatic vocals laid on melancholic musical texture. That said, Rain Diary brings a whole another dimension into the mood and color that has been labeled to the most Finnish bands: Drumming electronics, yet fragile interpretation, loud and restless city noises and the silence of the ever green forests. Rain Diary sounds nothing but itself.

The new wave of Finnish darkwave is called #winterwave.

To celebrate their 2nd album Black Weddings, Rain Diary played in such showcase festivals as Reeperbahn Festival and Lost in Music in 2017. Also, the band just finished an extensive European Tour with German dark rockers Vlad in Tears and Swedish Firstborn that consisted altogether 12 shows in seven countries. Germany's biggest music magazine Orkus honored Rain Diary with The New Comer of The Month tittle on their May issue to highlight the spring 2018.
