Formed in 2009 by founding members of SVARTSOT (Napalm records), Michael Lundquist (Guitar/ songwriter) and vocalist Claus Gnudtzmann, was ready to take on the new adventure, and formed PREVAIL as a common coal to make Death Metal with a twist and groove, tempo shifts and lots of melody.
Already after a few shows the band proved that they were in the right direction, with a dedicated local fan base that praised the band, and a headliner job at the metal festal MIDWINTER MELTDOWN, the band knew that their were doing something right.
The music style has from the start been death metal, and now after a few years of writing, they are taking the style and elements even further and more to the extreme. With fast-paced riffs that appeals to the old school crowd and catchy groovy choruses inspired by the new metal scene, you'll find that PREVAIL not only appeals to the death metal fans, but also to a wide range of other metal genre fans.
Lyrically, PREVAIL takes on many topics and are telling the stories of the darker sides of the human mind, the issues of war being all around us all, the suffering, worldwide spreading disease, and generally the darkest corners of the human mentality.
PREAVIL is a very active live act, and gives a kick ass performance, demanding that their audience is right in front of stage, and taking part of the show. Already they have shared the stage with bands like : Unearth, Ferocity, Corpus Mortale, Artillery, Illdisposed, Konkhra and One Machine among others.
These last few years the band has played every kind of venue, from the smallest of clubs to the big stages. Undeterred, PREVAIL now aim to hit as many scenes as possible this coming year. The coal is to get the music out at any costs, and to play on stage for as many people as possible.
At this moment, PREVAIL has just finished the recording of their first self-financed album, the album is recorded and mixed at the legendary danish Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark and is now ready to be released 2016.
At this moment PREVAIL is seeking the right partner to collaborate on the release, and to follow their common coal on promoting PREVAIL world wide.
