So what is/who are this Pirate Radio?

Hailing from the flatlands of Bedford in the UK, Pirate Radio are a Hard Rock band laced with passion, soul and groove-laden rock 'n' roll! Built on rainy days, whiskey bars and weeping guitars.

We are a band for all the rock lovers of the world hiding away in dark shadowy corners, who simply long for the glory days of rock music to return. PR are a band that unashamedly look back while trying to carry the torch forward that once burned so bright.

PR boast a diverse sound drawing on a range of styles and influences from 90′s grunge (the dirty consumerist label that must not be uttered) to Psychedelic Rock. Mix this with the bravado of 70′s classic rock, hints of Metal/Hard Rock/Stoner Rock/Punk/Pop/Blues & Soul and you're getting close to Pirate Radio.

Comprising of Rob Muir (Guitars & Throat Lozenge Addiction), Peter Hunt (Guitar Maestro & Sky-Scraping), Simon Wilson (Bass & the In Yo Face) and Daniel James (Drums & Gate Keeper of Time) PR are currently touring the haunts of the UK, building the PR fan base (Los Illuminados or The Enlightened if you will). The first official EP, Snake Charmer Discotheque EP was released in September 2014. The next step for PR will be to unleash their debut album early next year (2015).

PR are a band committed and passionate about bringing emotional, textural, dynamic and above all real music made by real musicians back to the masses. In the age of a saturated popular music culture…everybody needs an outlet, everybody needs Pirate Radio!
