Pipo Romero is an acoustic guitarist and gifted composer from Cádiz, Spain.His first album “Folklórico” (2017 Sony Music) soared into the top ten of WMCE (World Music Charts Europe) and got him excellent reviews including that of "El País", the most respectable newspaper in Spain. (You can read here an interview with Pipo Romero and here a chronicle of one of his concerts.) The prestigious luthier Michael Greenfield (Canada), a world reference in craft guitars, has named Pipo Romero as ambassador of his brand along with Keith Richards (Rolling Stones) or Colin Hay. This opportunity allowed Pipo Romero to find the perfect sound he was looking for his music. Pipo Romero has been performing his music internationally to enthusiastic audiences and in 2018 October he released his second Album “Ideario” (Universal Music). His compositions come from the heart blending an original compendium of styles (folk, flamenco, classical, country, celtic music, and many more folkloric influences from around the world) which blend seamlessly, creating Pipo’s unique and original sound. The result is a delightfully innovative and eclectic album that offers captivating soundscapes beyond the realm of instrumental acoustic guitar.  As a guitarist he is impressive, both for his technique and for everything he transmits playing.

Pipo has been presenting his first album in multiples concerts throughout the peninsula. He was part of the Barcelona Guitar Festival as well as the prestigious "Los Matinales del País" concert series in Madrid, among others. This tour has also led him to share the stage with pioneering guitarists in his gender as Don Ross (Canadá)  or Pierre Bensusan (France), obtaining the recognition and admiration of his colleagues. Last november he started touring to present his new album "Ideario" in many important dates in his native country, such as the jazz festival in Barcelona or the jazz festival in madrid.
Internationally we can highlight several concerts in Canada and in European cities such as London and Berlin. He was part of the official showcases of Folk Alliance International in Montréal in February 2019, followed by a tour in eastern Canada as a special guest of the Canadian acoustic guitar legend Don Ross. In March, performed  for the first time in the United States with 3 concerts at SXSW 2019, in Austin, Texas. This summer he made his first tour in Italy and after the performances of Positano and Naples, Pipo was crowned in the "Mediterranean Adriatic Festival of Ancona" with a standing ovation and excellent reviews from the press. During the months of October and November, the next leg of tour will take him to offer six concerts in Spain and three in Portugal, another new country to conquer. Soon, he will announce more concerts in new territories that add to his international tour for 2020, such as the United States (where he will participate for the second consecutive year in the International Folk Alliance in New Orleans), Canada and Asia.
