Before that, his life was rather very unmusical. He reacted with great dislike to the typical recorder, and a keyboard for Christmas did not have the effect that the parents had hoped for. Only annoying sounds came out and everyone was happy when the batteries were empty and the power cord suddenly disappeared without a trace. At the adolescent age of 15, Pierre lived on the streets for a few years, moving around with the punks. There was Ska, Punk Rock and Reggae, among others. rather his style of music.
But also individual tracks by great artists such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, New Order etc. liked him even before his first contact with the new scene. But only the electronic music, as well as the feeling that the music, the DJ and the guests gave him, suddenly awoke a completely different, new, artistic and creative part in him.

His idea was:

“... He wanted to give the guests equally soulful impressions, with his music that he loves so much and let you forget everyday life, as well as triggering sound experiences by mixing and merging sounds and tones, voices and basses. Re-interpret, create and present existing music ... music that has no breaks,
Music that apparently never ends ... "

After buying equipment and some vinyl records, Pierre quickly worked his way up as a much-booked DJ in his region. Under the pseudonym "fastMo" he was known throughout Germany (and even worldwide through his appearances at Tresor Berlin) and played not only tribal techno but also many hard techno sets in the best clubs and festivals in Germany like as the legandary Tresor Berlin, Rotor Club Berlin, Residenz Mentheroda, Treibhaus Glöwen, the Nature One Festival and many other locations.

In the middle of 2005 to 2008, Pierre could not withstand the musical change and began to try other styles of music. Ghettotech, Chicagohouse & Bootyhouse and his then best friend D.L.Session (also known collectively as 2nd Sequence) were very popular until he came to the minimal genre, where he found his new calling.

In 2006/2007 he wanted to create his own tracks and through friends came to his first "producer" software called "Buzz". The first tracks were quickly built and tested among friends and acquaintances, which was clearly met with a lot of dislike. Motivated by this, the professional software "Fruity Loops" was bought and they continued to work on their own tracks. In spring 2007, Pierre's perseverance was finally rewarded and his first hard techno track was released on vinyl released, then on the Soundthology Records label under his pseudonym fastMo. Then his production became very quiet. Then in July 2010 he got his first minimal track released on the label Drag Music in Argentina, also under the name fastMo. It then followed in the next year 2011 his first EP on the label Productos BMM in Spain and in April and May 2011 his next ep's with Solomoon Records in Berlin and Tannhäuser Records in Italy. Many other publications followed to this day and are guaranteed to come.

In the meantime, of course, Pierre, like how every artist, moved to Berlin, Germany's stronghold of art and music. In the short but, as he himself says, "inspiring" two years in which he worked, lived, made music, celebrated, as well as experienced happy and difficult situations and times, Pierre reinvented himself ... as a person as well as musically.

After a long back and forth, fastMo → Peer Kaschen and hard techno gave way to deep and tech house or minimal and techno.

At the beginning of 2012 the equipment was digitally expanded, so that Pierre now plays his Dj sets either as usual with vinyl or in a new way with Tracktor Scratch (time code vinyl), depending on the booking and club. Because after almost 15 years of loyalty to vinyl, he also switched to digital deejaing.
With the professional software Traktor Scratch and the associated Time Code Vinyl, new paths could be tread again, new discoveries, new designs and of course a lot more musical choices were now available. Compared to the record case and record case, thousands of artists and their tracks were available anytime and anywhere.
Nevertheless, despite the change of name and genre, his Dj sets are always characterized by variety and power because he mixes many areas from minimal house and deep house to tech house and minimal techno to techno.
His mixes and his way of working and making music with the audience make his performances simply interesting and often unforgettable, as there is always something for almost everyone, musically and on a friendly level.

In the spring of 2015, Peer Kaschen had the opportunity to found his first and own digital label "Schachwatt Records". When he applied to Alex Bau for a release on his label, the potential of his productions was recognized and Alex Bau offered him the sale of his music through DBH Musik.
Numerous publications by him on his label followed until 2016, despite health and personal problems. But even with him, the problems were not solved immediately and disappeared and so bookings, appearances and internet presences were less until suddenly there was no radio silence for a while ...

... 2020 ...

a year that one would never have imagined, Pierre has been living and working in Herford (North Rhine-Westphalia) since 2019, and a virus pandemic is keeping the world under control. Clubs, discos, festivals ... closed.

Yes,cinema, fitness, leisure, etc. all restricted or partly no longer allowed.

Avoiding contact means being banned from going out and people in quarantine or isolation.
Many club operators, organizers, restaurateurs and even artist colleagues are on the verge of subsistence, close, give up, are forgotten ... sad and bad at the same time.

But some remembered... the "good" old days and were driven to tell fastMo- or Peer Kaschen this.

Pierre then caught this wave of euphoria between April and June 2020.
SMS, emails, nightly calls from former and existing friends and fans took turns, reminding him of joint parties, after hours, gigs and sets and, above all, of his fans who were still there, occasionally waiting for signs of life from Him ... which then came promptly. Times change, so does the music, old became new and new became old again and Pierre became fastMo (aka) Peer Kaschen again. Whereby a separation will probably take place, depending on the style or release a different project name ...we will be surprised what Mr. fastMo is up to. Especially when he's back on the decks for you live, what kind of sound does he play?

The fact is, he plays again...when he is called!
