Patrick T. Davies began writing politi-punk spoken word pieces in 2017, hitting the open mics of Manchester, before gatecrashing everywhere from rock 'n' roll gigs to comedy shows. This culminated in August that year with a collaborative performance alongside Fila Brazillia's Steve Cobby, as part of Hull's City of Culture programme.
Since then, he has written and produced two EPs of his work with musical backings, ‘Terrible Twenties’ and ‘The Agenda Bender’, as well as releasing 'Never Mind That, Isn't He Charming?' - a six-minute verbal assault on Boris Johnson's slippery character, in collaboration with break-core pioneer, Gore Tech.
On the live stage, Patrick has performed countless times around the UK since those early shows, gaining support slots with the likes of The Blinders, Cabbage, Jamali Maddix & Tony 'Longfella' Walsh - as well as bagging spots at festivals including Bluedot, Shambala, Nozstock & Dot to Dot with a new musically-backed setup in 2019.
The strength of Patrick's spoken word also saw him selected for the regional finals of the BBC's Words First 2019 showcase alongside the best talent from across the UK.
Going forward, 2020 promises more releases, as well as further development of an already renowned live set - with support slots with Argh KiD and high profile festival appearances already confirmed.
