Autumn 2014, Oxford Drama got signed by the Polish label Brennnessel. This was followed by the release of the track 'Limbo', heralding their EP 'Fluctuations' which was eventually released in Janunary 2015.
Oxford Drama marked their actual debut with an 11-track album titled 'In Awe', featuring singles 'Preserve', 'Illusive, Bright Beginning' and 'From Past To Now'. This happened when the band had already played a substantial number of concerts in Poland and abroad, including prestigious Heineken Open’er Festival 2015.
'In Awe' was being made from the beginning of 2015 but July and August was the time of intense work on their ideas: those that they already had and those that were about to emerge. Working during warm summer days and unusually hot nights is their attempt to capture this time of naughtiness, sensitivity and perfectionism.
'In Awe' is an open mind of two people, mutual motivation, spontaneity and inspiring one another to be musically braver. But it is also the space that has driven them to be closer to each other which made the album a warm intimacy balanced with space and yearning. Emotional vulnerability gives 'In Awe' strength, and not fragility, because it is a natural testimony of maturation of two people, heard in their voice and sound.
'In Awe' was released on the 23rd of October and it was also the day when Oxford Drama began their tour with Kamp! to promote their debut album across Poland.
Their most recent release, ‘Coney Island’ SP and its B-side ‘Melinda’ was presented on the 5th of October on Polish Radio ‘Trójka’. Influenced by the 60’s classics, these two songs can be treated as Oxford Drama’s modern interpretation of the American youth’s soundtrack from those times.
