Gunquit are a London based Rumble-Bop Trash Blitz Freak-a-Billy 5-piece band
and have been performing since 2011 after neighbours Tina [Lead Vox/Trumpet] and Simon [Guitar/Vox] met frequenting a North London vinyl DJ cellar club. They decided to create a group blending their love of Wild GaragePunk, Exotica, Raw R&B, & SurfTrash.

They have played shows, festivals and events in London and Europe alongside acts such as [Black Lips producer] King Khan and the Shrines, Fat White Family, Public Service Broadcasting, Andrew Weatherall, Keb Darge, the Director Danny Boyle’s Shuffle Film Festivals, and a crazed impromptu stage invasion gig by eccentric 80s pop-punk prince Adam Ant. The group have also played two separate live sessions on London’s only Independent Art-Radio station – Resonance FM and singles have had much airing on BBC6 (Steve Lamacq, Gideon Coe, Lauren Laverne) Huey Morgan’s Radio 2 show & XFM Exposure with John Kennedy.

To date, they have put out two limited self-released 7''s stocked through Rough Trade; the second being single of the week in ArtRocker Magazine and also have a track featured on a Japanese compilation of Garage R’n’R with the all-girl riot band The 5,6,7,8s. and released a brand new single “Sinkhole” backed with instrumental “Stampede” via new One Little Indian imprint Winwin Records on 1st December 2014.
Gunquit have recorded their fiery, exotic sound on their eponymous Album ‘Eat Yuppies & Dance’ released in March 2015 on the Legendary Garage Label Dirty Water Records. They have just recently finished their 2nd Album 'Lightning Likes Me' with tracks produced by Detroit's legendary Garage Rock producer -Jim Diamond.. (The White Stripes, The Dirtbombs, The Detroit Cobras, The Gories etc) which is due for release in May 2017. Their songs have also featured on UK TV shows including 'Hollyoaks, BT Sport, and Only Way is Essex' also their song 'Bad Bad Milk' has just recently been used for VICE TV (USA) on skateboarding show 'King Of The Road'.
