Ronan Murphy (solo) is the lead singer and songwriter of the former band Nothing New Under The Sun from the port City of Cork.
With a diverse range of influences, they effortlessly combined sweet folk-pop -indie harmonies with hooky guitar riffs, soaring vocals and a driving rhythm section. Their debut single “Carolina”, recorded with Christian Best (Mick Flannery, O Emperor) earlier this year, went to No.7 in the Irish iTunes pop charts.Their debut E.P is set for release in September 2014 and promises to make waves in the European folk/pop/indie scene.
