We are Nira Nise (pronounced nira neeseh!), a 4-piece alt-rock female-fronted band, founded in 2018 in Warsaw, Poland, by the singer and guitarist Nira Wasik. The band is heavily inspired by the dusty Seattle scene (mainly Nirvana and Alice in Chains) and punk female groups, like Hole, Babes in Toyland and The Distillers.

In 2018 we released a garage EP "House on a tree". Our debut album 'The Witch Unburned', released on October 31st 2023, is a defiant alternative rock tribute to the '90s grunge era, addressing societal norms and personal resilience.

Simple riffs, screamy vocals and ripped tights are inseparable elements of our gigs. We like it dirty, loudly and unsober. Get ready for some screaminnnn'!
