I started BUSKING in Nottingham on 23 September 2010, and since then I have never looked back.

As I student in the 70's I developed a passion for music that led me to teach myself guitar and harmonica - making my own instruments and beginning to write songs at the same time.

I was lead singer and bassist in a band formed after completing my BA at Wimbledon School of Art in 1977. I left that group in after a year, but we reformed in 1979 to record and release an independent, 7-inch (vinyl), double-A single "They're Poisoinin'" and "Candlelight: practically my only claim to fame. Oh, apart from when my hat got stolen at the Lincoln Stonebow and I ended up on BBC Look North news.

I qualified as an Art Teacher at Goldsmiths College, London in 1980, but immediately took up an offer of a scholarship to study liberal Arts and Theology at Ambassador College in Pasadena. When I graduated in 1983, I returned to Britain to serve the church community in North London, and as a national youth programme co-odinator. Music, song writing and performance remained a part of my life, but took second stage.

Now a committed BUSKER, I have made it my mission to travel the "civilised" world, spreading love, joy and peace through the music of the 60's, 70's (and beyond), along with my own compositions as I continue to write.

Over the years I have staged several one man, BOB DYLAN cover concerts; and it is the music of "the bard" that informs my repertoire and influences my own song-writing to a large degree. But I'm a very eclectic musician, listening all genres, including classical and well as some world music. I like nothing more than to discover a past gem from our musical heritage and present it anew to contemporary audiences, and those who caught it the first time round.

In 2012 I did a busking tour following the Olympic Torch Relay around the UK, going to more than twenty towns and cities in England, Wales, Ireland (North & South) and Scotland. In 2013 I fulfilled my ambition to busk in America, starting in East Coast States in New England: Hartford, New Haven, Boston, New York; and traveling as far as Philadelphia, Washington, Nashville and Las Vegas, before returning to Boston, and then New You on 9/11.

While enjoying the diversity of "audiences" in our University City of Lincoln, I continue to seek out new environments and people to share the gift of music with; last year having the expected pleasure of playing at my nieces wedding in Nis, Serbia; and also busking in Belgrade. Increasingly I have been presenting my music at indoor venues on the small stage - This year I plan to "step up" and make myself available as a support act for concerts and festivals.
