Fronted by Alex Daniel and Helène Hanses, MOD Exciter is an exploration of self-awareness in uncertain times, reaching out for our truest inner being, one that for us musicians, comes from when we started listening to music in our rooms as kids.
A mix of pop melodies, indie synths, alternative passages and bridges, focusing on frequencies we truly believe in.
Taking inspiration from sources ranging from Sylvan Esso, Stillcorners and Deerhunter to Tame Impala, Caribou, Depeche Mode and Soda Stereo; MOD Exciter’s new Album ‘Spam for Robots' (schedule for release on April 2020) crosses an emotional spectrum based in real life experiences blended into electronic-psychedelic indie sounds.
With a chorus relating to today, the first single ‘Passengers of the Night’ shares a larger message behind the lyrics, of vulnerability and constant defiance.
