May it be the gloomy suburbia of Petah-Tiqwa – the band’s hometown – or the urban jungle of Tel-Aviv, where its members are based today.
In parallel with their connection to the city landscape, came a yearning for nature, for the open space — and out of these two opposing forces the foursome creates music that balances between reality and the imaginary.
Meuban have performed at both InDnegev festival and Yearot Menashe festival – the two largest independent music events in Israel. Moreover, the band was chosen to open for Föllakzoid – “the grand maestros of the resurgence of Chilean psych-rock” as described by Noisey magazine – on their two shows in Israel.
Meuban’s debut album AFAR was released August 2018, with Nimrod Bar (Tiny Fingers) as producer.
