‘’Melo-M’’ – trio of cellos – is the most popular instrumental music group in Baltic States and is widely known in the regions of Northern Europe and Russia.

The band was founded in 2005 by cellist, guitarist and music producer Karlis Auzans. The basic aim of the group was to find unconvential aspect and use of cello play. Known musical themes from different popular music genres form the group’s repertoire.
At present ‘’Melo-M’’ founder is joined by the cellists Mikelis Dobicins and Janis Pauls. All the artists are academically educated, experienced musicians playing in symphonic orchestras and solo.

Since 2010 ‘’Melo-M’’ has produced ten different Concert Programmes and has released four studio albums with popular Latvian music hits, worlds pop and rock music famous compositions, world folk music and opera music themes, alongside with Concert Programmes with symphonic orchestras and a dance group.
The original concert music of Karlis Auzans, unconventional use of cello, attractive, energetic stage performance (characterized by well-considered scenography, specifically staged movements), conceptual politics of repertoire and thought-out image of the band are always present.
