Thanks to their longstanding interplay and intense performances in over 200 live concerts, the members of this group have developed an extraordinary unity - as well as the ability to react on each other with rare speed and sensibility.
The partly complex, partly very plain compositional precepts of trumpet player Matthias Spillmann have been internalized by his fellow musicians to a degree that completely merges musical elements such as theme, solo play and backing. Moreover, the five instrumentalists have achieved mastery in the art of alternately rushing ahead and leaving each other room and are thus at any given moment able to lead their music into a new direction. In this way the listeners enjoy a soothing and refreshing musical bath in abundant melodies and boisterous rhythmic energy.
