Wish I Could Blame It All on You | Album | 2019
Wasted Energies | Single | 2018
Addict/Avoid | Single | 2017 |
The loud guitars and sarcastic lyrics may evoke the impression that Jeff Buckley would have played something similar if he was born in Eastern Europe. The band was formed in late 2016, based on inspirations from 90’s groups such as Helmet, Failure, Barkmarket, Tool or early Nirvana. Lyrics are written in English and the guys also love vintage musical instruments due to their massive tones. The trio consists of Tamás Iklódi (lead guitar/vocals), Sándor Kiss (bass/backing vocals) and László Baku (drums/backing vocals).
The band has released two EPs (Addict/Avoid - 2017; Wasted Energies - 2018) and their first LP arrived in March 2019 titled Wish I Could Blame It All On You. They have been active live since 2017, touring all over Hungary including cities like Kecskemét, Debrecen, Szeged or Nyíregyháza, and also Budapest. MARMUNSK! opened for Japanese doom/stoner band Church Of Misery, Californian stoner rock legends Nebula and Yawning Man during their Budapest shows, but they also played with the Greek band Tuber in 2017.
