Benannt wurde die Band nach Manuela Malasaña, einer spanischen Heldin im Kampf gegendie napoleonische Besatzung. Die Texte ihrer Eigenkompositionen handeln vom Kampf gegen soziale Ungerechtigkeit, Fernweh und langen Pub-Nächten.
Nach ihrer letztjährigen Tour zusammen mit Fiddlers Green starteten die Wahl-Bamberger mit Ihrer aktuellen Single ‚Rise and Fall‘ in das Jahr 2020. Auch hier bleiben Sie Ihrem eigenen, einzigartigen Stil und unverwechselbarem Sound treu.

Irish folk punk with a Spanish touch and a touch of psychobilly - that's probably the best way to describe the music of the band originally founded by their singer Carlos del Pino in Madrid. The band was named after Manuela Malasaña, a Spanish heroine in the fight against the Napoleonic occupation. The lyrics of their own compositions are about the fight against social injustice, wanderlust and long pub nights.
After their last year's tour together with Fiddlers Green, the Bamberger-by-choice started into the year 2020 with their current single 'Rise and Fall'. Again, they stay true to their own unique style and unmistakable sound.
