Lyra are a five piece rock band who draw influence from a broad range of musical genres.

Their sound is made up of pop esque guitars, power drums and leading vocal harmonies.

Having played every top Liverpool venue, featured live on Dave Monks BBC Radio Merseyside Introducing show, along with other international broadcasts [such as AVR Radio], Lyra are ready now more than ever to take things up a notch.

Lyra believe that writing, recording and producing their own material is one of the most important aspects of being in a band. This allows them to sound how they want and enables them to give their material away for free.

As a band, Lyra haven't had the easiest of starts in life. As gig reviewer Ian D. Hall put it at Heather and Sam's first gig,"Lyra has come of age, adversity is there to be dismissed and overcome, in a night that so many made sure they attended; adversity was sacked and given its marching orders with a display of plush beauty". No matter what difficulties and complications have been thrown at Lyra over the past year of gigging, they have never gave up fighting, coming back bigger, better and stronger every time.

The band play regular monthly Liverpool gigs but are in the process of branching out across the UK's unsigned band scenes.
