Incredible virtuosos on their instruments, performers on the trumpet and the piano. Lorenz Raab's solo trumpeter at the Vienna Volksoper and multiple-Hans Koller prize winner, David Helbock is a multiple winner and Audience Prize winner of the world's biggest jazz piano solo competition in Montreux.
That the two exceptional musicians have found a duo, is a moment of happiness. The compositions of the nearly 30-year old Vorarlbergers are brilliant, Helbock has written his real-Book with 365 compositions in a year, a soft spot for Prince he can not deny what is heard in a wonderful variation of "Sometimes it snows in April" ,
Furthermore, Lorenz Raab reflected with works approximated to Henry Purcell (Dido and Aeneaes) and Franz Schubert (Kupelwieser Waltz) and the classical field.
Complex, but very catchy melodies, unplugged, without technical support are heard.
It is not surprising that the two artists - experimenting with sounds like ocean waves on the trumpet in one moment - Sound like all traditional wonderful classical ballads in the next moment.

For David Helbock it is a reduction to the essential, to the simple, away from the big projects. Lorenz Raab however, always wanted to have a classic duo in improvisational context. It succeeded. (Alfred Mitterbauer)
