Strabane songwriter and ukulele enthusiast Lauren Bird has found herself plenty of admirers within the Northern Ireland music scene.
Building on her Chordblossom Kickstart win she went on to release her debut album 'The Inbetween' in 2017 following a successful crowdfunding campaign. The upbeat sound of her ukulele sits amidst vibrant instrumentation as Bird documents the trials and tribulations of a twenty-something songwriter. Through her music, Lauren explores anxieties, self-depreciation, friends, relationships and ultimately accepting oneself. A sell out album launch, a twilight rooftop show at Culture Night Belfast and finding her way to a few end of year lists topped an exciting year. The honest and endearing nature of Lauren Bird's music will continue to charm stages around Northern Ireland.
