Despite their other projects and full-time
musician/composer lives taking a lot of their time and energy, Siddharth Basrur
(vocals & guitar), Adil Kurwa (bass), Karun Kanampilly (drums) and Anurag Shanker
(guitar & vocals) have still found deep inspiration and precious time to instil into this
new sonic animal to nurture its rapid growth. This quartet’s work in the studio and on
stage with Last Remaining Light has resulted in two India tours, one well-received
studio album, a single, and a soon to be released EP that truly shifts the band's music
into the next gear.
Shape-shifting alternative rock majorly influenced by the 90s and early 2000s and
thoughts on self-discovery and human existence make the pool of inspiration for the
band’s music. The self-titled debut was heavily featured all over the media (The Hindu,
Rolling Stone, etc) and along with the first single ‘Fire Drill Gone Wild’ received great
acclaim including being featured in several “Best of 2015-16” lists. The most recent
single release, 'Back For Seconds’ got featured by Apple Music India on its homepage
and received a strong, positive response from fans and followers.
The band has been consciously fine-tuning its sound and will be putting out a very
interesting new experience on its upcoming EP that should be out towards the end of
