KONESKIN are a modern progressive rock trio from Torino, Italy, with a sound firmly rooted in the long heritage of progressive rock, particularly bands such as King Crimson, Van der Graaf Generator, Genesis and Gentle Giant.
All three talented members are also music teachers and/or session musicians of international renown.
Drummer Sergio Ponti is also a member of Beggar's Farm and has worked with Ian Anderson and other past and present members of Jethro Tull and also members of King Crimson, Procul Harum, Van der Graaf Generator, Fairport Convention, Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM) and Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso. He has also occupied the drum stool for experimental extreme metal bands such as Dordeduh, Ephel Duath and Sunset In The 12th House.
KONESKIN play intricate, emotional, challenging, intense progressive rock which is also eminently accessible and always has a powerful melodic sensibility and a strong rock rhythm underpinning it.
