Celebrated as an aficionado of contemporary folk-rock, Kaurna Cronin is continuing to enthral audiences and impress critics, with the previously named Folk Alliance Australia 'Artist Of The Year' having just released his anticipated 'Make Light' album with an extensive 47 date European tour that saw him and his band perform concerts throughout Germany, Sweden, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Denmark, Finland and Lithuania.

Kaurna Cronin is one of the most captivating and moving live performers gracing stages globally. Whether he’s drawing people in through his intimate solo act or steering crowds through inspired dynamics of a full band show, Cronin is an experienced entertainer and generous frontman who gives heartfelt and memorable experiences wherever he roams.

A captivating entertainer who is always seeking to push the folk genre to new heights, he has previously been awarded the Folk Alliance Australia 'Artist Of The Year', a recent nominee for 'Best Solo Artist' at The Australian Folk Music Awards, awarded the prestigious APRA-AMCOS 'Emily Burrows Award', 'Best Acoustic Act' at the Fowlers Live Music Awards, ARBA 'Roots Album of The Year' plus a South Australian Music Awards 'Live Music Award'. He is renowned for his intelligent and poignant lyrics in the tradition of folk troubadours who are storytellers first and foremost.

"A true force of contemporary folk, Kaurna Cronin is a distinguished artist and globally recognised performer." - Out Now Magazine

With over 700+ European performances under his belt, Cronin's unique folk blend and moving performances have been wowing audiences throughout Europe and Australia. This wandering storyteller is on the cusp of a new breed of Australian folk artists, reimagining and redeveloping the way music is shared, written and enjoyed across the globe. His sonic and lyrical maturity, hard won from years touring and recording, have found their way onto his most recent self-produced and engineered record, demonstrating why Cronin is widely regarded as being at the cutting-edge of contemporary folk music.

His 2022 album Harsh Beauty showcases Cronin’s talent as a seasoned songwriter and musician, but also as an emerging producer/engineer, having crafted from multiple studios across his homeland a lush and emotive soundscape for a deep swag of songs steeped in rich Australian imagery and worldly tales. His most recent album Make Light has been labelled 'A Sparkling Album of Folk-Rock Brilliance'.The songs have an effortless beauty. Like lighting a candle or cracking the shutters, each track contains its own mood and makes its own light. With that light comes an intimacy and a curiosity. His songs do not shy away from the big questions which illuminate our modern experience. These are searching songs, which put words to romantic love, family and memory.

His previous eight albums provide a varied and thrilling portrayal of what Cronin does best; writing songs with both substance and style. Cronin’s new album tows the line of driving hard with attitude and grit and gently evoking powerful emotion as he invites you within his intimate narratives. It's a fascinating blend of the undiscovered and nostalgic, both foreign and familiar.

"Like the best singer songwriters, Kaurna is both a keen observer of life and a great teller of tales." - Australian Musician

In the past years Cronin has toured Europe and Australia extensively, from intimate venues to some of the biggest open air festivals in Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and Estonia. He has graced stages at major festivals globally including Rudolstadt Festival (DE), Woodford Folk Festival (AUS), Port Fairy Folk Festival (AUS),National Folk Festival (AUS), Valkhof Festival (NL), Noorderzone Festival (NL) & Falken Dagar Festival (SWE) plus alongside artists such as Colin Hay (Men at Work), Roscoe James-Irwin (Cat Empire), Keith Urban & Michael Franti.
