Sung in 9 different minority's languages, played on 13 instruments, presented in over 14 countries!

"9 Languages" it is a multi instrumental concert presents unique culture of Podlaskie- Cicha’s home region, located at the very northeast part of Poland. It draws from traditional music scales. However, it is not a compilation of old-fashioned tunes but an integral modern world music which is based on the original style of two musical individualities, on their charisma and experience in linking various genres such as ethnic, archaic and rock music.

Minorities of Podlaskie region/ languages in the concert: Tatar, Roma, Lithuanian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Russian, Yiddish, Polish and Esperanto.

Karolina Cicha is a great polish composer, singer and multi instrumentalist well known for her unique style of singing and original technique of playing many instruments at the same time, which makes this concert a wonderful show of the best quality music and excellent performance. Her work is the result of linking the most important influences and elements of Polish traditional culture with modern grand with ethno, rock and modern electronics.

Bart Pałyga is a cellist, multi-instrumentalist, improviser.
He specializes in playing on several ethnic, mostly stringed, instruments, from all over the world. He is a precursor of aliquot (throat) singing in modern, folk and pop music. A member of such bands as: Masala, Village Kollektiv, Arcus Poloniae, Yerba Mater, Maria Pomianowska Band.

The concert got a Grand Prix Award of the most prestigious Folk Festival in Poland “New Tradition 2013”. In 2015 was presented in official showcase selection at WOMEX 2015 in Budapest.
