Halfrican are a garage punk from Glasgow FFO Buzzcocks, Jay Reatard, Thee Oh Sees.

Beginning life as a solo bedroom recording project for frontman and songwriter Sancho Buna, the band quickly developed into a live project consisting of relentless rhythm, reverb and fuzz. The past two years have seen the band tour the UK and Europe sharing stages with classic and contemporary rock and roll artists such as The Sonics, Black Lips, Kid Congo, Ty Segal and Night Beats.

The band are recording their debut album in early 2016 following the successful and mostly sold out releases of an EP "Hot! Hot! Hot!" (El Rancho), a double A side 7" "Life Is Hard/He's Around" (El Rancho) and several split 7"s and tapes "Halfrican/Pinact/Poor Things/Sharptooth" (Gerry Loves Records), "Halfrican Vs White Pages" (Number4Door UK/Can't Stand Ya USA) "Halfrican/Heaters/The Frights/The Wives" (Yeah Baby France).

Following a string of blistering festival performances and glowing reviews in national and international press, Halfrican were invited to perform a live BBC Introducing session with Vic Galloway at BBC Scotland.

"The most gnarled out fuzz you're likely to hear all year" - NME

"Awesome. Real wildman rock and roll." - Vic Galloway BBC
