His first break came in 2007 when he landed a feature on HHp’s hit single Leloko la Lekoko. He went on to tour the country with HHP and was nominated for a Metro FM award.

​Between 2011 and 2015 G-C has released numerous singles and videos. He has been playlisted across Africa and has built a small but loyal following of fans. His style of music incorporates a mixture of sounds and languages. His rapid fire delivery is infused with rhythmic flows and poetic rhyme patterns.

​2015 saw G-C being selected by MTV Base for the Base Cypher alongside the best hip hop talent in South Africa. In 2016 he released his most popular single to date ‘Jaiva’.

2017 so far has seen G-C achieve 2 major milestones. The first being the release of his spiritually motivated EP “Only Lord Knows”. The second was being selected to perform at one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, Primavera Sound.
G-C plans to build his following and continue making music that speaks to real life situations and also uplifts people.
