His debut album Documenta, self-released in January 2013, was mixed by Radwan Moumneh (Jerusalem In My Heart) at Hotel2Tango. Although deeply rooted in the singer-songwriter genre by using mostly acoustic instruments, this first LP explored territories reminiscent of electronic and repetitive music.

Still drawing upon a wide range of aesthetics, his music has evolved into something more rhythmic, dealing with multiple layers of synths and raw patterns of drums. Poignant vocals are also a characteristic feature of Fred Woods’ sophomore album, which will be released next fall.

In a live context, a core of talented musicians joins Fred, in order to create a strong, brooding atmosphere and ensure an uncompromising listening experience. Since 2013, Fred Woods shared the stage with Barzin, Jesse Mac Cormack, Emilie & Ogden, The Loodies and Technical Kidman. He also toured Europe three times, performing in several cities across Italy but also main capitals such as Paris (Festival Aurores Montréal, MaMA Event), Berlin, Prague or Zurich.
