Minney’s songs are inspired as much by her mental health and the people she’s interacted with as they are by the daily paintings that the world makes for her. Though deeply personal, her songs have an ability to be felt and understood by almost everyone. Much of this comes from rich, honest vocals which manage to be haunting, powerful and intimate all at the same time.

Live performances are also inspired by nature, but this time by the octopus; Fran uses the limbs at her disposal to create a full band sound as a soloist by use of Ableton, looping and midi controllers.

Fran’s music has been featured on Spotify Editorial playlists ‘Easy’, ‘Frühlings Chillout’ and ‘Winter Chillout’. Minney has been featured on the cover of The Crack magazine, received support from Help Musicians UK; performed live on BBC Yorkshire; and also performed on Made in Leeds (TV). She performed at Thomann’s Music Never Stops Festival 2020, Long Division 2019, has headlined 360 Club, Leeds twice and supported Lyves.
