FJORDS - Cardiff’s finest purveyors of Indie-Electronica release the much anticipated new track ‘Polymath’ on 1st March 2014 via Crookedman Records.

Recorded at the world famous Monnow Valley studios FJORD’s third release builds on the sonic ambition of previous singles Domino and Russian Doll. ‘Polymath’ showcases an icy sonic template reminiscent of Movement era New Order & Bowie’s Low, coupled with angular guitar riffs that recall the finesse of A Certain Ratio, Franz Ferdinand & Arcade Fire.

A recent brush with fame saw FJORDS singer Sonny Dagur accosted in Cardiff by an advertising executive with the immortal lines, ‘Do you fancy being in an advert?’ One thing led to another and FJORDS were filmed for an upcoming Scottish Widows television advertising campaign, due to hit your screens Jan 2014.

Formed in Cardiff in 2011, FJORDS can quote Real Madrid & Wales footballer Gareth Bale and Manic Street Preachers as fans. FJORDS were named ‘Best Unsigned Band’ by the Best of British Unsigned Music Awards and voted amongst the ‘top five emerging icons’ by the Huffington Post.

FJORDS are Sonny Dagur - Vocals & guitar, Alex Mann - Bass & vocals, Scott Bradburn - Guitar, Gareth Bodman - Synths, Hannah Mathias - drums & drum pads.

Airplay support for FJORDS includes Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Wales & Nation Radio.

Fjords are Joy Division’s angst mixed with Duran Duran’s glamour!
