Background: How you got started, where you’re from
Space-rock sextet Ex Comets claim to hail from Leicester via Area 51 and to have been born from the remnants of exploded stars, which is technically true, if not incredibly specific.
More recently the atoms that make up their bodies were part of We Three and the Death Rattle and Codex Leicester.
Sound: How you’d describe your sound
Ex Comets debut single Old Cool Red is all Sonic youth guitars and Pixies pop hooks sprinkled with a layer of Grandaddy style synths and space dust . It's out now via hometown globetrotting heroes Maybeshewill's label Robot Needs Home records.
Influences: Musical and otherwise
Asteroids, Faked moon landings, Conspiracy theories, Pixies , Sonic youth , Quickspace , Fugazi, Grandaddy , Government scientists vs Neverland's pirates ,The Montauk Project , Betty and Barney Hill's alien abduction and Bob Lazar .
