Rising from the ashes of Carlisle-based sonic titans Mister Mañana, Droll Man‘s epic blend of melodic post-rock and crushing buzzsaw riffs would not have seemed out of place in the midst of the mid-nineties alternative rock boom; however their genre-bending expansive sounds are far from dated.
Delivering scuzzed-up grooves akin to Deftones if they emerged in the heyday of grunge, with nods to the likes of Tool and Envy along the way, Droll Man bludgeon and soothe in equal measure.
