Leo came with 8 years in the study of his stepfather for the first time in contact with electronic music. On this day his passion came to light for which he followed and soon as an amateur DJ hung up at parties his school and also during his time at the university.
Leos sound is characterized by a wide variety of influences, including bands like Yazzo, Depeche Mode, Information Society, New Order and DJs like Frankie Nukles, Roger Sanchez, Jeff Mills and Carl Cox. Under the wings of Godfather Guillermo Villegas, aka "Memix", he also got to know the technical side and could make his talent even better showcased.
After 1995, he was hired as a DJ for the Disco Sapo Verde, he developed a unique musical identity for the club. In March 1995, he was with Generation X in the first Promoter Group for Electronic Music Festival in Costa Rica, which he became the leader of this movement.
While the majority of DJs decides to stay with one style, Leo broke the schemes and combined Ambient, House, Techno and Breakbeat by took up to three turntables and effect boxes. In the following years he was resident DJ of clubs as Oxigene (first Electronic Music Club in Costa Rica) or Planet Mall, one of the largest clubs in Central America. At the same time, he gained experience in management, having worked for music companies as a label manager and promoter, and also organized festivals and events. In 2003 he founded Mixology, of which there are now a well-known radio show, as well as the Ensemble Ethnic Musical Project (together with Bernal Monestel).
Several years ago, Dr. Leo opened his own club, Da House, in Terra Mall. He also in 2009 together with DJ / producer AJ Mora founded the non-profit organization "Remix Our World" to enjoy music as a bridge and moving artist to contribute to various charity projects.
In his 25-year career, Dr. Leo has the stage, already with Stryke, Nova, Jhon Jhonson, Humate, John Creamer, Jes, Christopher Lawrence, Quivver, Safri Duo, Hernán Cattaneo, Satoshie Tomiie, Sasha, Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez,Fatboy Slim, Ferry Corsten, Rodrigo Vieira, George Acosta, Global Deejays, Max Graham, Richie Hawtin, Green Velvet, Oscar G, Tiesto, Mohenia, La Ley, Hombres G, Aterciopelados, Depeche Mode, Alux Nahual, Mana, Blondie, Iron Maiden, Juan Luis Guerra, Elvis Crespo, Luis Enrique, Miguel Bosé, Shakira, Marc Anthony, Calle 13 and many many more.
