He has performed across the world in Africa, Europe and the United States and in September 2014, took the stage in front of over three thousand people when he opened up for Roc Nation recording artist, Big Sean.

Darkecy has been making music since the ripe age of thirteen and has since devoted his time to perfecting his craft. In 2011 he founded Dark Matter Entertainment, a record label that inspires local Rwandan youth to create music and provides them with a platform for their creations to be heard by the masses. Through the success of DME's annual L.A.M.P. (Look At My People) concert, and numerous projects released by a variety of up and coming artists, DME has gone on to receive national recognition and critical acclaim in Rwanda.

In an effort to further pursue his musical dreams as well as obtain a higher education (never stop learning, kids,) Darkecy moved to New York in 2013. Since then he has released two mixtapes and founded a budding Hip-Hop collective at his college (OHHC).

In October 2015, Darkecy embarked on his first ever tour when he performed at venues in Oneonta, Albany, Syracuse (NY, USA) and Montreal (MTL, Canada).
