With exceptional sales in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA, plus mass coverage from MTV, Radio One and Kiss FM, BORN 2 B has become a recognised member of the U.K. Rap fraternity.
It all started back in Woolwich (SE London), when a very young Born 2 B joined sound system Xenaxel 305 and along with fellow Rappers Merlin and Blade, started his career in rhyme. He collaborated with production team Invision headed by Peter Hinds (Light of the World, Incognito) on the his debut release "Moments in Love" and also featured on the She Project’s Technofusion (SHE Records 1990).
Born 2 B made his mark on the Jazz-Rap / Hip-Hop scene when he went on to work with Blue Note/EMI Us3 founder members Geoff Wilkinson and Mel Simpson aka NW1, releasing a Jazz-Rap single on Ninja Tune Records entitled "The Band Played The Boogie" leading to a Kiss FM promotional tour and extensive TV and press coverage. In the mid-nineties, “The Band Played The Boogie” was released in America on the compilation album ‘Acid Jazz Volume 3’, becoming a huge club hit in New York. The song was also included in the Columbia Records German CD compilation "Street Soul 2".
Born 2 B has also:
• Worked with top female Turkish Pop vocalist, Ruya on her single entitled ‘Turkish Delight’
• Worked with producer Steve Duberry on the theme tune “Kings Of The Ring” for video release
‘All Star American Wrestling’ and the ‘Big Hits ‘92’ compilation album
(HitRecords/Chrysalis/EMI)
• Produced the ‘Rap Archives Legends’ CD Compilation series.
• Released his first US single entitled ‘Can We Start Over’ by Born 2 B on Century
Vista Records. A follow-up single was released in February 1998, ‘Gettin’ Blue’.

Record’s AKA.COM Music Network after being voted as one of the Top 50 Hip Hop Website’s

• Set up his own production studio, producing and releasing a variety of albums and singles by
various artists including The Urbanflash Collective featuring Grime Artists Adz and Sho
Shallow.
• Released various singles including “2 Live Another Day”/“U Don’t Know” in 2010 on Altered
Ego/Pickwick and “The Return Of The Boogie” by DJ Dax Vs Born 2 B in 2011 on Hustlerz Inc
Recordings.
In 2016, he started writing and recording his first solo album, "Original Olde English". The first single “Musical Evolution” is an extension of his work on Ninja Tune Records with NW1. Away from the commerciality of what US3 were to become, Born 2 B has stayed true to the aim of creating a smooth, organic blend of Hip-Hop, Jazz-Rap and Drum & Bass.
“Musical Evolution” by Born 2 B is currently available from iTunes, Amazon and all good music stores on Digital Download (Oct 2017) with CD and Vinyl to follow. Check out new Hip Hop music that Us3 fans can't stop listening to!
