Behind The Moon Behind The Moon are a Staffordshire based electronic duo comprised of Hannah Sophie (Vocals) and Scott Evans (Keyboards, Programming).

The music is dark electronic with powerful vocals, and at its heart very song based.
Not afraid to tackle difficult subject matter such as mental illness, abuse, love and loss and over the last three years Behind The Moon have built up an exciting vibe that follows them in live performances and releases. Offering something different, they will surprise, shock and move you with their live performances.

Formed in late 2018 the duo came about from a conversation at an electronic music open mic, the song writing was quick from that point and with in 12 months their debut album “Somewhere Behind The Moon” was written and released. Taking influences from Depeche Mode to Billie Eillish the music was very synth based which was something they later decided they would mix this more with more organic sounds. Extensive gig playing throughout 2019 helped to shape the sound of the duo a performance at Stoke’s online live show Honey Box really propelled their reputation, Hannah’s stunning vocals making an impact, one track in particular “Tidal Wave” started to get traction at all live shows. The song tackled head on what it was like for Hannah living with Borderline personality disorder, the lyrics resonated with audiences, making connections with their own demons.
When COVID 19 hit a sizeable tour was cancelled and focus was spent on songwriting, introducing guitar to the sound. Scott says “it was a natural step to introduce other instruments, it helped to mature the sound and gave some warmth to underpin Hanna’s vocals, however the root of the music is still electronic” During this time the band received great support from BBC Introducing with their single “See Me Sin” getting plenty of spins.

Behind The Moon reviews-

“Amazing electronic duo, Beautiful vocals with a melancholy feel. Evokes a modern take on early Soft Cell songs like ‘Torch’”
