Schnell, brutal, hart!
AN ACT OF TREACHERY is a four headed, modern Thrash/Death Metal band from Vienna, Austria.
The Band was formed in 2010 by the guitarists and singers Alexander Michor and Stefan Hilber.
Both shared the love for Metal and started to write instrumental Tracks together.
After some Demo Tracks they decided to start the Project with a Full Lineup.
2011, after the first gigs where played, the Band started to record their
first EP – titled “Wasted Life”.
The EP was limited to 100 pieces as Hardcopy and to Download for FREE on their Page.
2012, the Bassist (Christoph Guggenbichler) and the Drummer (Marco Borghi) left the Band for personal reasons and got replaced by Manuel Kührner on the Bass and Claus Laimer on the Drums.
The new Lineup started immediately to write together and played as much LIVE as possible.
One of the Highlights was the Support-Show for the US Metalheads “UNEARTH”.
2013, was the Year everything started.
Lots of great Shows where played and enough new Material was written to finally hit the Studio.
The first Full Length “Reflections of a Dying World” was recorded together with
Felix Ofner from Arson Studios.
One week before the official CD Release, the Music video for the first Single “Let Them Burn”
was released by BlankTV worldwide and also the Austrian Music Television Channel “goTV”
added it to their rotation. In December the former Vocalist, Patrick Masopust left the Band to have more time for his growing Family. The Band decided to continue with a four-headed Lineup.
Stefan Hilber also took the spot on the mic and pushed the sound to an even more brutal Level.
