Amber Smith are a Hungarian indie rock band based in Budapest, Hungary formed in 2000 by Imre Poniklo.

During their 15-year carreer, they released six albums, and various singles. Their 2006 breakthrough ''Reprint'' was produced and mixed by Cocteau Twins mastermind Robin Guthrie (while the title track is by YONDERBOI). The album was debuted at nr1 spot on DCRC (German University Radio Charts) upon release. The follow-up, 2008's ''Introspective'' was mixed by Chris Brown, who worked on Beatles Anthology, Muse's second album and ''The Bends'' by Radiohead, among others. It also brought them Hungary's industry award, Fonogram prize in 2009.

The group just released their 7th album called ''New'', released at the end of April.

The band toured Europe countless times, with shows in USA and Japan.
