Este grupo nace en el año 2010 Y fue justamente cuando esa avalancha Timbiquireña de folclor y sabor llega a Bogotá, creando así esa mezcla excepcional entre la marimba de chonta, bombo, cununo y guasa; Instrumentos tradicionales de la música del Pacífico colombiano y los sonidos urbanos que se escuchan en la capital colombiana, asentándose allí e inundándola de sabor.

Su fundador y director Diego Bonilla, viene con toda la tradición de Timbiqui; pueblo del pacifico colombiano reconocido por parir grandes artistas. Al llegar a Bogotá se encuentra con varios músicos que han formado parte de diversas agrupaciones y proyectos musicales destacados en Colombia, en cabeza de estos personajes nace Aluvión.

Aluvion refers to a strong current of water or an avalanche generated by the overflowing of a river and which is deposited, flooding a field.
