Z-STAR (“zee-star”) conjure up a heady infectious modern-day mix of Soulful Blues Rock.

Imagine Janis Joplin meets Jim Morrison and The Black Keys in a Quentin Tarantino directed episode of HBO’s True Blood, and you’re getting close to the sound Z-STAR evoke! Meet one of the most exquisite and powerful rock goddesses around, dubbed “a legend in her lifetime” by Diva Magazine. Expect to rock the funk out with dirty basslines, phat blues beats, raucous riffy rock n roll guitars and delicious soul-soaked vocals. Wowing audiences around Europe and Australia with their high octane transcendental live performances, including debuts at Glastonbury and Brighton Pride last summer. They've even captured the attention of rock royalty Jimmy Page who refers to Zee as “a force of nature”.

"Rolling Stone Magazine have proclaimed Z-STAR as having the new sound of heavy soul and rock ‘n roll, and we can’t help but agree. They’re the band who seemed to skip the “emerging” status and jump straight to bigger things" - Forte Magazine (AU)

The blues tornado of a frontwoman Zee has an inimitable talent for improvising onstage that is simply exhilarating to watch. The raspy bluetones unleashed in her passionate delivery fill the air with a buzz that seems to flow on tap from the source.

Zee demonstrates unbridled commitment to her music and projects (Z-STAR, Z-STAR DELTA & SLOWTRAINSOUL), supporting, collaborating or sharing the stage with acts - Deap Vally, Eryka Badu, Richie Havens, Johnny Winter, Nigel Kennedy, Eric Clapton, Ben Harper, Bernard Allison, Beth Hart, Deep Purple, Arthur Brown and Jo Harman to name a few at Jazz Cafe, Royal Albert Hall, Blues Passion, Guitare En Scene, Festival De Blues - with music featured on TV shows CSI Miami, Entourage, Californication, Ugly Betty and compilation albums worldwide, including The Blues Magazine, Hotel Costes, Nirvana Lounge and Buddha Bar.

The band have performed live at the Diesel Black Gold Launch in Germany, Diesel Liquid Space Collection at Pitti and Replay in Italy, Ralph Lauren in St Petersburg as well as private shows from Berlin Spy Towers, to Tuscan Castles and beyond!

"(Their) destiny is in the name: a star of love and spiritual strength, destined to touch the peoples’ hearts with joy, freedom and deep emotion" – Vogue Italia

Z-STAR’s much anticipated new album, 16 Tons of Love, their first international launch will be released Summer 2017!

“One to watch!” - BBC Radio 2
“A force of nature” - Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin
“New blues star of the future” - Classic Rock, The Blues Magazine
“Zee (is) the next Jim Morrison and the 21st century Doors” - Music Worldwide
“The voice of the globe, the power of the voice, the electrifying songs, (Zee’s) evocative stage presence...” - Vanity Fair
